Próspera Help

"Próspera Help" is a private aid organization financed by voluntary donations to provide aid to residents in emergency situations as a last resort.

We help residents with:

  1. Food

    No-one will starve.

  2. Medicine

Medical care and medications in life-threatening situations and in situations where there is a risk of permanent and serious harm.

  3. Other aid

There are numerous factors which can prevent someone in an emergency situation from overcoming it on their own, but where aid would be easily available and where donors are willing to help.
We do not believe that there is a set framework in these situations. Instead, we allow our donors to decide in these cases through donor juries (see "Representative Participation"). These emergency situations can include orphaned children, unemployment caused by physical or mental factors, etc., provided that both the organization and donors are made aware of the situation.

Our principles are:

  • Transparency

All of our bookkeeping is public and can be viewed online. Our standard is that anyone can attain a clear and up-to-date overview of all financial operations and ongoing aid cases with just a few clicks. It is possible to search for each individual expenditure, each donor and each case where aid was given. Donors can be anonymous upon request and pseudonyms can be used for those who receive aid.
Accounts and receipts are regularly reviewed by an external agency.

  • Focus

Próspera Help does not offer a universal welfare system. Donors are only used in emergency situations and only for Próspera residents. Even then, they are only used when all other possibilities (such as help from family, existing social networks, eventual insurance claims, etc.) have failed. By clearly focusing on emergencies, we hope to help just a small group of residents but in the quickest and most reliable ways possible.

  • Volunteer work

All activities are voluntary. This exists both from the high demand that 100% of the funds flow to those who the aid concerns and also to counteract the congestion of work areas. Through our focus on emergencies and the likely low number of aid cases that we hope for, we believe we can achieve a pure form of volunteering. In this way, engaged donors can also help without money.

  • Participation

Help, aside from food and emergency medical care, must be decided by some of the donors.
Each donor has the opportunity to work as a potential jury member. A few randomly selected donors then vote online for the particular case.
